Would You Like a FREE Food Social Media Calendar for January 2021?If you are managing the social media content for your food business, then it is vital to have a content planner. Preparing a schedule for the month ahead makes sure you capitalise on those national days, and creates plenty of content for your different social media platforms. I've pulled together lots of events that are happening across January to help you plan, and to help you increase your sales. Now that the feasting of Christmas has finished, and we start 2021 with our New Years resolutions firmly in hand, one of them needs to be to plan your social media. January is a long month, and with the current restrictions in place, you are going to have to be creative to attract customers for your take away or click and collect service. We have a few monthly events in January - Veganuary, Dry January, and in complete contrast, Ginuary. If you have an off licence, you might consider offering special gin cocktails with your meals, or gin inspired dishes and desserts.
Veganuary celebrates all that is vegan, and gives great scope for developing your vegan menus for this increasingly popular way of eating.
There is a sprinkling of international days too, with sticky toffee pudding day and chocolate cake day (my favourite this month). Try putting a further twist on the cake with a vegan version.
Also in the mixture we have some national days with shortbread day, cheese lovers day and croissant day. A cheeseboard delivery box would be a great way for some additional revenue. I'm loving the sound of Brew Monday, especially as it falls on Blue Monday. What better way to cheer yourself up?
And not forgetting national celebrations on New Years Day and Burns Night. Make sure you add the relevant hashtags to your social media posts too to increase your exposure to new contacts and clients. Give me a follow on Instagram.

An experienced photographer will be able to advise on dinner and glassware.
Lighting. Setting. Creative ideas such as showing ovens or chefs. Arrangement of food to show it off in its most appertising light. Working with dishes that may not work well in photography think enormous portion of saucy curry; it’s the last thing most people want to look at.
The second one is that the purpose of the food photography is absolutely key to the photographic style. Think kebab shop pictures vs high end restaurants. Think good affordable, chain restaurant family grub vs Michelin Star artistry.
Depending on the type of food, ambience of the establishment, audience, brand and where the photography is to be displayed; any photographic shoot involving food will require an entirely bespoke approach.
