Halloween Events in Essex 2019
It's that wonderful spooky time of year again when the leaves are turning and the pumpkins are ready for picking! So what is on offer in Essex this half-term break for the Halloween festivities?
Autumn Fest at Wat Tyler Country Park
There are also evening Ghost Walks suitable for children age 12+ and adults (booking advised) to explore Wat Tyler's rich heritage.

Fright Nights at Colchester Zoo
AND on 26th, 28th, 30th, 31st Oct and 2nd Nov ONLY, Colchester Zoo will be open til 9:30pm for FRIGHT NIGHTS! As the daylight fades and the darkness sets in, go and see the wildlife at night with more activities. The popular UV Glow Show is back and there is a Pirate Adventure Ride in Elephant Kingdom all included with the admission price. Additional Fright Night wristbands cost £5.50 each which can gain you access to the Late Night Animal Encounters and other freaky attractions - suitable for 11+. There are also online exclusive prices for combi tickets which include day ticket admission and the Fright Night Wristbands.

Pumpkin Forest, Battlesbridge
Choosing your own perfect pumpkin is a key part of the Halloween festivities, so why not get down to the Pumpkin Forest in Battlesbridge? Open daily 19th Oct - 31st Oct 2019, 9am-5pm. Pick your pumpkins and squashes from the fields and also join in many fun activities and games for the family.
Half-term and Pumpkin Mini shoots with Tina Wing Photography
Celebrate the autumn with a pumpkin photo session and select your own pumpkin direct from the farm at the Pumpkin Forest, Battlesbridge. Included is a 25 minute session outside in the autumn season. Siblings and families can all dress up - see Pintrest boards for inspiration. Also included is a 6x9" print in a deluxe cream mount to frame to 12x10" and 2 digital images. (Pumpkins not included in the price.) £85
30th October 5:30 - 7pm
Come and make a lantern at the Naze centre that day 10am - 12pm or 2pm - 4pm to bring along with you.
You are advised to bring a torch or battery operated lantern and weather appropriate clothing/hiking shoes as the terrain can be muddy and uneven. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
