I'm so excited to have made the final of the Essex Wedding Awards 2016 for the Photographer of the Year.

This has been my first year of wedding photography, so imagine my excitement when I received the email telling me that I had made the final in a very tough category.

I had to send a written submission about my business and customer service which included details of my insurance, membership certificates of trade associations, prices, brochures and leaflets. I also had to include samples of my work and products. These were posted before the judging, and on the day I delivered my beautiful black leather 12"x12" wedding album to Orsett Hall. That was on a Wednesday and then I had to wait until the following Monday to get an email to say that I had been successful in getting to the final.

I also included a short slideshow of my work.

So all I need to do is go and find a lovely dress to wear on the 24th, November, and whisk my husband and myself off to Orsett Hall for the Hollywood style black tie event for the final.

I would like to say a big thank you to all my wedding couples this year that have let me be a part of their very special days.
